Colon Ends Speculation, Will Retire
Saturday, October 6th, 2018
Bartolo Colon said it was an easy decision to announce that this will be his last year of professional baseball.
"I'm 45 years old," the Miami Marlins starting pitcher said. "Some of the guys in the clubhouse are young enough to be my son. It's time to go before I start getting white hairs."
Reviewing his career stats, Colon has worked 3438 innings with 2547 strikeouts en route to a 247-185 record. The 45-year-old also has a 4.05 ERA.
