Milwaukee Takes Division Series in Deciding Game Friday, October 12th, 2018 It went the distance, but the Milwaukee Brewers finally disposed of the Philadelphia Phillies 3-2 in the series clincher at Miller Park. Winning the finale gave the Brewers the series, 3-2. They will now advance to the League Championship Series. The Most Valuable Player Award went to Milwaukee catcher Gary Sanchez. He batted .368 in the series, collecting 5 RBIs and scoring 3 runs. "Gary deserves it," said Brewers manager Jonathan Adelman. "He was the glue that held our club together." The Milwaukee Brewers will play against the Washington Nationals in the next round. Washington won their series against the San Diego Padres 3 games to 1.
