Rangers Prevail, as Division Series Goes to the Wire Saturday, October 13th, 2018 The joy and relief on the faces of the Texas Rangers players was obvious as they celebrated their Division Series win over the Chicago White Sox. "In a series like this, the smallest thing can make the difference in how it turns out," said Texas left fielder Joc Pederson, shortly after the 12-1 win that clinched the series 3-2. "We're happy we did what it takes to get it done." The team is now off to the League Championship Series. Pederson won series MVP honors on the strength of his .368 batting average during the series. He also had a .478 on-base percentage and 2 home runs, drove in 6 RBI and scored 3 runs. The Texas Rangers will play against the Toronto Blue Jays in the next round.
