Rays Swap Helsley to Yankees for Hernandez Sunday, November 4th, 2018 According to BNN there were mixed emotions by the players involved in the trade between the Tampa Bay Rays and the New York Yankees. As part of the deal, the Rays swapped 28-year-old C Kyle Farmer, 24-year-old minor league RHP Ryan Helsley and 25-year-old minor league LF Austin Dean to the Yankees getting 27-year-old RF Enrique Hernandez in return. The players indicated it was good to get a fresh new start in another city, but it was difficult to leave your friends on the old team. His lifetime stats show Hernandez has batted .251 and collected 314 hits, 41 home runs and 147 RBIs. |
