AL Selects Rookie Star of the Month Sunday, July 1st, 2018 J.P. Crawford earned June's Rookie of the Month honors in the American League for last month's performance. The boyish Boston shortstop might be wet behind the ears, but he's proving that he has what it takes to play at this level. Crawford hit .326 with 4 home runs, 11 RBIs and 21 runs scored this past month on his way to winning the award. Crawford has a .257 average and a .365 on-base percentage for the year.
