National League Names Rookie of Month Saturday, September 1st, 2018 Brett Phillips earned August's Rookie of the Month honors in the National League for last month's performance. The boyish St. Louis right fielder might be wet behind the ears, but he's proving that he has what it takes to play at this level. Phillips hit .280 with 5 home runs, 18 RBIs and 15 runs scored this past month on his way to winning the award. So far this season Phillips is batting .228 with 21 home runs, 60 RBIs and 64 runs scored. He has 110 hits in 483 at-bats, 64 walks and a .321 OBP. Phillips has played in 135 games. |
