Zimmermann Hurls Royals to Shutout Victory
Tuesday, September 11th, 2018
All went well for Jordan Zimmermann of the Kansas City Royals as he pitched his team to a 9-0 shutout victory over the Chicago White Sox, limiting them to 7 hits. In the postgame interview, both managers had glowing things to say about Zimmermann on the day.

"Jordan's got a good selection of pitches he can throw at a guy," said Royals manager Bryce Shuck. "He changes speed, gives different looks to different hitters. When he's on his game, he's quite a handful."

In the contest, the Kansas City right-hander rang up 4 and surrendered 1 walk.

"He didn't give us any second chances," said White Sox manager Corey Krentsa. "It's a guessing game with him and today we were always guessing wrong."

In 17 starts this season Zimmermann has gathered 7 wins while suffering 8 losses. He has pitched 128 innings, allowed 167 hits, struck out 87 and has a 5.84 ERA.
