Philadelphia's Price Stands out in Shutout
Sunday, September 16th, 2018
The Philadelphia Phillies did little to support starter David Price against the Miami Marlins, but it turned out he didn't need the help.

The left-hander spun a complete game shutout against the Marlins, striking out 5 and surrendering 4 hits. The performance from Price allowed Philadelphia to escape with the 3-0 win despite an anemic offense.

"Nobody came to me and said 'David, we're gonna need you to win this one for us today,' but I could feel it," Price told BNN reporters following the win. "I'm the guy that will step up for you when you need it."

In 34 starts this season Price has compiled a 17-8 record and a 3.32 ERA.
