Big Bat Pays Off, Blackmon Player of the Week Monday, September 17th, 2018 At the age of 32, Charlie Blackmon might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Chicago center fielder put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .500 batting average. For his efforts Blackmon collected the American League Player of the Week Award. He racked up 14 hits in 28 at-bats, 3 home runs and 6 RBIs last week in 6 games. This year Blackmon is batting .324 with 32 home runs and 108 RBIs. |
