Outstanding Pitcher Award Goes to Baumann

It was a dream season for Michael Baumann of Lynchburg Hillcats. He pitched his way to a 15-3 record and carted off the 2018 American Conference Outstanding Pitcher Award.

Working 159 innings this year, Baumann made 25 starts, struck out 144 and crafted a 2.89 ERA. He gave up 140 hits and 49 walks and limited other teams to a .232 average.

He received 24 first place votes out of a possible 30. Matt Hall of the Lynchburg Hillcats finished second in voting with 2 first place votes, while Zach Jemiola of the Lakeland Flying Tigers finished third with 2 first place votes.
