Orioles Sneak Past Blue Jays, 6-5
|
The Baltimore Orioles beat the Toronto Blue Jays, 6-5 at Oriole Park at Camden Yards, in part due to center fielder Albert Almora, who nabbed player of the game honors. He was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs. Baltimore is now riding a 3-game win streak.
A.J. Ellis wielded some clout for Baltimore. The catcher had a solo home run in the bottom of the 11th for the Orioles. It put his team ahead, 6-5, and sent them on to victory. For the game, Ellis was 1-4 with a home run and a walk.
"Winning is all that really matters and we got it done today," Ellis told the Baltimore Daily News.
