Brewers Win in Extras
|
San Francisco got a terrific game from second baseman Yairo Munoz. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Milwaukee, 5-4. Munoz was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The losing streak for San Francisco has now reached 4 games.
The Giants had been locked in a 4-4 tie with the Brewers going into the top of the 13th inning. That changed quickly when the 24-year old third baseman Dawel Lugo came to the plate. Lugo hit a run-scoring double on a 2-2 fastball from San Francisco hurler Tony Watson. It was Lugo's 2nd double of the year.
"We've got a great group of guys," Lugo said, "and we're having fun right now."
