Blue Jays Continue Skid Thanks to McCutchen, Orioles
|
Baltimore left fielder Andrew McCutchen had 4 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Toronto Blue Jays, 9-7. The win was credited to R.J. Alaniz in relief. His record improves to 4-5. Kendall Graveman took the loss. Justin Wilson earned his 17th save in 18 chances.
An important at-bat for Baltimore came with one out in the top of the seventh. With the bases loaded, McCutchen hit a run-scoring single, which contributed to the Orioles win.
"It's a good day to be a fan after a win like that," McCutchen told the Baltimore Daily News.
Toronto's current losing streak is now 5 games.
