Is it better to be lucky or good?

After leading the Iowa Cubs to victory, 3-0, and tossing a no-hitter over the Memphis Redbirds, Brent Honeywell didn't have the answer.

"I don't know," Honeywell said. "To do what I did today, I'm pretty sure it takes both."

On his big day at AutoZone Park, Honeywell fanned 9 and had 1 walk. And it seemed that when the Redbirds managed to hit the ball hard, it went right at a defender.

"That's how you get a no-hitter," Honeywell said with a smile. "A lot of skill mixed with a little luck."

In season stats Honeywell shows a 1-3 record in 5 games, 36 innings, 32 strikeouts and a 3.50 ERA.
