Injury Derails Season for Venters Wednesday, May 15th, 2019 Jonny Venters had hoped for the best, but expected the worst. Today, he learned from the Omaha medical staff that he would miss the rest of the season. The Omaha closer suffered a damaged elbow ligament in an earlier ballgame. He admitted to being discouraged, but said he plans to come back strong next year. Thus far this year Venters has picked up 7 saves. He has also compiled a 2-0 won-lost mark with a 1.54 ERA and in 11.2 innings fanned 18. |
