Daal Rips Salt Lake for 5 Hits Thursday, May 16th, 2019 At Smith's Ballpark today, Calten Daal of the Buffalo Bisons put on a hitting clinic. He banged out 5 hits in 6 at-bats and mauled the Salt Lake Bees pitching staff, but Buffalo still came up short on the scoreboard. The Bisons went home with the 7-6 loss, in spite of a standout 5-hit performance from their second baseman. "Hey, it's great to get that many hits in a game, but it would have been nice to win the game, too," Daal said in the postgame interview. Calten Daal singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Jose Alvarez in the 9th and doubled in the 10th. Thus far in 2019 Daal is hitting .238 with 1 home run, 9 RBIs, 15 runs scored and has compiled a .285 OBP. |
