Wisdom Crashes 3 HR Against Norfolk Thursday, May 23rd, 2019 Patrick Wisdom brutalized the Norfolk Tides pitching staff, launching three home runs in today's 14-10 victory at Harbor Park. The Rochester Red Wings first baseman was red-hot, the ball just exploding off his bat all day. "I don't try to hit homers," he said later. "I try to go out there and put a good swing on the ball, and sometimes it is going to go out of the park. I didn't try to hit the first one or the second one or the third one." For the game, he went 4-for-5 with 7 RBIs and 4 runs scored. "Too much Patrick Wisdom today," Tides manager said. "That's my assessment of the game. That's what our problems boiled down to." Patrick Wisdom singled in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Adrian Houser in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Pedro Fernandez in the 8th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Lucas Sims in the 9th. Wisdom is swinging at a .287 pace on the year with 13 home runs, 35 RBIs and 31 runs scored. He has played in 37 games. |
