Injury Sidelines Mendoza for Season Tuesday, June 4th, 2019 Hector Mendoza has to call it a season. The Buffalo Bisons reliever learned today that the full extent his injury suffered on 05/31/2019 is worse than hoped. He will not play again this year according to club doctors, who diagnosed the injury as a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and stated that he would not be able to play for 8 months. The team will likely place Mendoza on the injured list today. For the year, Mendoza has collected no saves in 17 relief appearances. He has also rung up 26 strikeouts and 14 walks in 20.2 innings while registering a 3.05 ERA and a 1-0 won-lost mark. |
