League Suspends Alvarez and Krook for Brawl Tuesday, June 18th, 2019 Baseball officials have suspended two players for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct" in yesterday's Gwinnett-Sacramento contest at Coolray Field. The Stripers Yordan Alvarez and the River Cats Matt Krook will have to sit out 5 and 11 games respectively for their parts in the brawl. Looking at his season stats, Alvarez has compiled a .281 batting average and a .345 on-base percentage, while hitting 8 home runs and driving in 28 runs. This year Krook has recorded a 0-8 mark. In 13 starts he has fanned 41 batters in 44 innings with a 10.02 ERA. |
