Martin Takes Charge, Blanks Fresno Monday, July 8th, 2019 Today was Corbin Martin's turn in the rotation for the Tacoma Rainiers and he made the most of it, shutting out the Fresno Grizzlies on 1 hit. The 23-year-old right-hander led the Rainiers to an easy 16-0 victory, allowing 1 walk and tallying 11 strikeouts. "I hope we miss him next time," Fresno manager said. "Martin certainly pitched a strong game against us today. He was in a groove, throwing everything for strikes. Throwing hard. Changing speeds." To this point in the season, Martin shows a 2-2 record, 6 starts, 33.1 innings, 31 strikeouts and a 2.97 ERA. |
