Williams Crashes 3 HR Against Albuquerque Saturday, August 24th, 2019 Some days you can't have it all, as New Orleans Baby Cakes right fielder Nick Williams discovered when he cracked three homers against the Albuquerque Isotopes today, and still lost. "I have mixed emotions about this game," he said. "It's great to hit three homers, but it's hard to be happy when you lose the game." The 25-year-old got his name in the league record books, but the Isotopes walked away with the 12-8 triumph at Zephyr Field. Williams finished the day with 3 hits in 3 at-bats and 4 RBIs. "I got three balls to hit and nailed all three of them," he said in the postgame interview. Nick Williams hit a solo-shot off Brad Keller in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Brad Keller in the 3rd, walked in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Stephen Gonsalves in the 6th and walked in the 9th. Williams is batting .287 with 23 home runs and 91 RBIs this season. |
