Tobias Has 25-Game Hitting Streak Friday, April 19th, 2019 The number just keeps getting higher. New Orleans second baseman Josh Tobias has now extended his hitting string to 25 games. He did it today with 1 hit in 4 at-bats as the New Orleans took the 9-8 win over the Memphis Redbirds at Zephyr Field. "Who knows how long it will go on?" Memphis manager said. "He's certainly tough to pitch to right now." Josh Tobias flied out in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. For the season, Tobias is hitting at a .389 clip with no home runs, 6 RBIs and has scored 4 runs. He has 7 hits, 4 walks and a .500 on-base percentage. |
