Dubon Belts 3 HR Against Reno
Friday, April 26th, 2019
It was a good day for the El Paso Chihuahuas and an exceptional one for Mauricio Dubon. The 24-year-old shortstop sent three bombs out of the park to help the Chihuahuas beat the Reno Aces 10-6 at Southwest University park.
"When you're in the zone, the game really slows down," Dubon said when asked about his performance later. "I couldn't even tell you what pitches were thrown. Today feels great, but it is a long season and tomorrow is another day."
For the day, he scored 4 times, drove in 7 runs and smacked 3 hits in 4 at-bats.
Mauricio Dubon hit a solo-shot off Austin Voth in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Austin Voth in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Thomas Szapucki in the 5th and flied out in the 7th.
Dubon is swinging at a .231 pace on the year with 5 home runs, 13 RBIs and 10 runs scored. He has played in 15 games.
