The New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd at Yankee Stadium.

The Boston Red Sox downed the New York Yankees, 7-3, at Yankee Stadium. The Red Sox were led by Jackie Bradley Jr., who captured player of the game honors. He was 4 for 4 with a double, 3 singles, and was hit by a pitch. Boston reliever Cam Bedrosian picked up the win, upping his record to 5-2. Justin Masterson was saddled with the loss.

In the top of the first, J.P. Crawford ambushed a 1-1 changeup from Justin Masterson and hit a solo home run. It gave Boston a quick 1-0 lead.

"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Bradley Jr..

Boston is now 50-34.
