Yankees Lose to Red Sox, 3-2
|
Boston Red Sox starter Noah Syndergaard was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the New York Yankees, 3-2. Edwin Diaz notched his 40th save in 43 chances. The Yankees, at 87-73, have lost 5 straight games.
The Red Sox got a big at-bat from catcher Jett Bandy. For the game, Bandy went 1 for 2 with a double and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 3 runs. In the bottom of the second, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing double. His 8th double of the season gave Boston a 3-1 lead.
"Noah was throwing free and easy," said Boston manager Matt Spencer.
